Introduction
There are 6 principles from the iTeach principles. The principle that I chose to talk about from the iTeach principles is authentic learning through quality interactions. A brief understanding of what it means to me is that we have to make sense of the real world with concrete objects that will help to develop the children’s skill sets. “In education, the term authentic learning refers to a wide variety of educational and instructional techniques focused on connecting what students are taught in school to real-world issues, problems, and applications.” …show more content…
It is also a much better way to guide the children because it engages them and allow them to relate the experience back to their lives. It gives them a better understanding of their topic of interest.

Conclusion
“Authentic learning builds on this concept of “learning by doing” to create learning environments that move beyond merely allowing students to play a role. In the course of a project or problem, students engage in the type of multidisciplinary problem solving and critical thinking that researchers and experts use every day. Students learn how to investigate problems that require more than textbook formulas or rationales to solve.” (Windham, 2007)
