However, because some of the beliefs that come with Christianity, Christian’s are given a bad name. The media likes to slander Christian’s because they do not believe in same sex marriage or, in some rare cases, interracial marriages. However, not all of us think that if you get married to someone of a different race or of the same sex that you are going to hell. This is a very outdated way of thinking. Yes, it is true that we were brought up believing that this was a major sin, but, most of us won’t look at you any different. Most of us believe that everyone deserves the right to marry whomever they love. There is a passage in the bible that I love and feel like fits perfectly with this topic, “Do not judge, and you will not be judged; and do not condemn, and you will not be condemned; pardon, and you will be pardoned.” (Luke 6:37) Those who chose to "hate” any individual that chooses to participate in these marriages go against the morals of Christianity anyways. HELLO!!! Thou shall not hate thy neighbor happens to be a ten commandment. But, those “Christians” who say they hate those who engage in marriage with the same sex or interracial human beings are supposed to be “holier than thou”, please giving me a freaking break. If you can stand up and say you hate someone for their decisions in life than you are no more a “Christian” than the person you so adamantly
