24/7 Poem Analysis

It is okay not to be okay. Life is hard, and it’ll knock you down. Many people frown at depression as if your weak, but everyone has a bad day, week, or even month. You don’t have to be okay all the time. Lose your cool and go where the wind takes you. “24/7” by Kehlani is a perfect representation of just how you must let go sometimes. Everyone will always have something to say, and you just have to look past it and do what’s best for you; and if that’s to fall apart a little, then that’s okay. The theme of this song is a very pop vibe; it’s not sad like the other songs discussing depressing and bad mental health. It shows that some days are worse than others and accepting it. This song matches perfectly with the poem “It’s okay not to be okay” by Haych. The theme of this poem is very serious but makes a strong point. Everything the author speaks on I feel. Like the pieces of work above, I am a firm believer that everything happens for a reason; if you were meant to go back 10 steps then that’s meant to be; it’s not the end of the world, and you will be …show more content…
I am certain that I would love to be happy 24/7 and not worry about anything, life is not that simple. The poem “Its okay not to be okay” explains just how painful life can be and how you may feel EVERY single emotion that can be felt and that is okay. You will experience your share of pain throughout life and that’s normal. It’s okay not to be okay. I’ve been down so many roads and all them end at the same place. Happiness. Happiness will come to you, it just takes time to get there. “24/7” (Kehlani) expresses that it’s okay not to be okay just as the poem I chose. I am very certain that these 2 pieces of work go perfectly together because the message remains the same. It’s okay not to be okay. Sometimes life will throw you curve balls and how you handle them it really shows you who you are as a person, and honestly you will thrive from overcoming

Cavafy’s poem makes me think of college, specifically in terms of how I should, we should, be grateful that we are here. It is a privilege to attend college, a privilege to further our education. It is not easy, but getting here, being accepted here, is an achievement in itself, “a glorious thing” to quote Cavafy. This is a step on the ladder of education. It may not seem, when stepping back and looking at it all, like it is a great feat or triumph to have been accepted here, but by directing my focus to the here and now, I can see that I am incredibly fortunate and extremely privileged to be at this university.…

Have you ever been diagnosed with a mental illness? What was once an idea of human sadness and compassion is now the idea that anyone who suffers from normal sadness, because of societal or personal reasons, is not happy enough and requires medication. The author, Sharon Begley, wrote a piece called “Happiness: Enough Already. This piece focuses on how society is turning into a group of people that believes they will never be happy enough. The tone is centered on fact and it conveys a persuasively aggressive persona about the idea of contentment and mental disorders.…

This chapter was written to show that life isn’t always sunshine and rainbows. But at the same time life may not always be thunder clouds and lightning. Just because I see myself as an “optimistic pessimist” doesn’t mean that you should see yourself the same way. Be who you are. My advice to you is that you should try to live a happy life, don’t let the troubles of this world try to bring your down.…

When these types of things happen out of where, people usually do not know where to begin to handle it. Some people think should turn to crying about all of the negatives, or if they should rather think about the positives that came from the relationship and from the break up.…

We all go through a period in our lives when we feel like we are stuck in life or don’t know what to do next, whether it’s because of a bad relationship, or not being confident in one’s self or feeling worthless or powerless. We all have those moments of uncertainty and it’s up to us to change those thoughts and feelings. We are all unique in one way or another and we were placed in this world for a purpose. When you hear this playlist I want you to think about that time when you felt like you didn’t have anybody in your corner, when you were unsure what your next move…
