"It Can't happened Here" is a play adapted Sinclair Lewis's novel. A semi-satirical political novel. This play is talking about the competition between two parties. The protagonist of the play, Doremus Jessup, an editor with a traditional liberal and communist theories, but his theory is contrary to the incumbent President with populist. The author descriptions Jessup in the novel is, "Pretty smart fella but kind of a cynic" (It can't happened here; Chapter 1) And in this play Jessup was also this kind of person. When Jessup family run away from town, in a dark environment and small light, two cops come up to you, bring two bright flashlights and shine on your face. You will have the same feel to them. A voice was loud in my head,"run! run!" and I can feel my gooseflesh at time. A great play divides into good production team and good actors, this play have both of them, of course, it's a successful play. In conclusion, the beginning of a revolution to the end, people keeping die. And the Jessup surely surmount all difficulties on the road to progress in this revolution, been caught for the president, even in prison. But the funny thing is they laughed heartily when Ledue in prison as well after the president died. The death of the president is the beginning to tear this hard complexion for Jessup. He escapes from hell by his friends' hand. The last scene was he and his family continue to struggle with vicious power. From this play, I saw a cruel word, everyone was deterred by the dangers. But it must have someone stand out and change this situation that can have a new world that everyone hoped. Jessup was that person who stands out to contend with Windrip. He may not success but we should thank for that person who made a sacrifice become our new
