After taking the personality assessment, I found out that I fall into the ISTP group, which I think fits my definition of my personality. ISTP stands for introversion, sensing, thinking, and perceiving. ISTPs are interested in many things that go on around them. They pay close attention to the details trying to make sense of it all because we are very logical. From a heuristic view, ISTPs also like to understand and know how things work because we take great pleasure in fixing things. We can sometimes be good problem-solvers because we like to try new approaches for a solution. ISTPs notice the little things that other people may overlook trying to come to a resolution. Every personality type is different in a work environment. ENFPs, like myself are the “inspirers” according to Psychology Junkie. We are very outgoing, gregarious, hedonistic when being motivated by our desires, and we have a certain panache when it comes to connecting with people. The authors of Type Talk, Otto Kroeger and Janet Thueson state that extroverts “think out loud; they clarify their ideas by sharing them with others, refining them as they speak”.…

According to the Jung Typology Test, I have the personality type "INTJ". This indicates that I am mostly an introverted, thinking, and judging personality. While I consider these characteristics to be natural tendencies that I have, it is important for me to remember to avoid using labels as excuses for who I am in the flesh. I have a "moderate preference of introversion over extraversion" (humanmetrics.com) according to the test. I am shy and reserved around most people, and I often find a lot of group interaction stressful.…

As mentioned in the modules, everyone has a bit of both types in them, but some stand out stronger than others. Regarding myself, especially, it actually depends on the situation and moment as to which type or interest will stand out more prominently. This type indicates that my personality exhibits strength of character in regards to stability and assertiveness while simultaneously being good-natured and trustworthy. INFP individuals “are more productive when the effort [invested] reflects some ideal or service;” for instance, by adding some sort of altruistic aspect to otherwise meaningless work, this action can motivate INFP personality types (Kroeger, Thuesen, & Rutledge, 2002, p. 340). As far as values and attitude insight, I am reserved and creative, a combination which allows for problem-solving and innovativeness. When looking at what motivates me, I found that I am nearly equal within the three needs, namely growth, relatedness, and existence; this score is likely due to my being at a point in my life where I want to increase my skillset, form new social relationships, and find a job within my new community. As far as the decision-making process, I have a high level of faith in people; as I have a creative mind, I am able to look at problems and find innovative ways to solve these.…

My personality type according to the Jung personality quiz is INTP. I mostly agree with the description of INTPs except for the part that states INTPs prefer word games and strategy games.
