Issues With Lgbtiq

What I understand to be the issues faced by LGBTIQ people are; the fact they may not be accepted into society because of who they are, the bullying they have to go through from society because no one wants to accept who they really are, even the fact that some LGBTIQ would rather stay home then walk the streets and get looks of disgust because of who they are. These people should be able to feel comfortable in their own skin and in society, they should not be bullied for who they are and should be accepted by everyone as they have a big part in society and without them we might all be the same. I believe the Queensland ambulance service choose to be a part of wear it purple day and the pride parade because they wanted to show their support towards diversity, make a stand for bullying and harassment and make sure that the world knows that no matter who you are you should feel safe and secure in this world. …show more content…
Not only were the paramedics trying to get across to the world that it’s ok to be who you are but they were also trying to get across that no matter who you are you should also be accepted when they enter the workforce, so they are trying to create an environment where you can feel accepted where ever you go but also in the workplace too which is really great to see. What my workplace could do to not only support LGBTIQ people, but all people of diverse backgrounds is; celebrating Harmony Day and this is a day where people from all diverse backgrounds come together as one to celebrate the different cultures we have in
