Summarize The Issues Surrounding The Violation:
A team assignment (Developing a successful strategy for team learning) was selected by team-4 for course EM-575 (Performance Management in Technical Organizations). Team-4 was made up of three (3) students in which each member got one sub topic to cover in order to complete the assignment. Few other additional activities associated to the paper like compiling, editing, proof reading and submission was also equally distributed to the members.
An effective and continuous communication among the team members was required for a successful completion of the assignment. Team members decided to meet once a week to review the progress, issues and path forward. In the beginning, it was little difficult

The team was required to present the paper in the classes and then go through a question and answering session from the audience and the teacher.
One of the sub topics was “skillful discussion” that was assigned to me. I did my preliminary research at the website but did not get any luck to find some good material. One of the potential reasons was a close relationship between skillful discussion and “Dialogue” (Dialogue was also another sub topic of team-4 assignment that was assigned to the other member). My topic “Skillful Discussion” was also presented in the reference book in detail, so I decided to use the book material like the teacher used a book for her class presentation.

My part of the assignment was also lacking in text citation due to some misunderstanding among the team members. I highlighted references and sent it to the proof reader but I guess, she thought that the citations have already added to the assignment and then she submitted the assignment without my citations. The proof reader was also located in Eastern Time zone and this may have also caused the confusion and last of timely

I would also seek advice from the teacher, if I find difficulties for a research based assignments.

After watching the presentation on team work and being in groups, it taught me the things that are necessary in order for a group to be successful. In order to be successful in a group, the group needs to plan everything out in advance, they need to communicate, and have a leader who can take the initiative. Notably when watching the presentation some of the observations I recognized included planning everything within the first two meetings. Throughout the presentation they did not say which member received which roles, or even set a proper meeting time.…
