The socio culture influences that impact students, teachers, schools and the community has changed immensely over the years due the exposure and availability to resources and technology readily available. Realistically schools need to keep up to date with these changes in order to support students, teachers and the community. Primary schools in Warragul are well presented and have great values and beliefs within their school community according to their websites, when taking a deeper insight into the diversity of what any of the schools in the area have to offer it seems quite one dimensional. Students in the Moe area are usually from a low socio economic family, the statistics show that 13.6% of families in the Latrobe Valley area are from low income families and 7.2% of families have food insecurity (Victoria state government, Latrobe (2014) p5) this shows how this can effect children and their schooling and how an area such as Moe needs to implement plans within the school curriculum in order to support and care for their students as stated in the schools values. One of the ways this is being implemented in the schools this area is the breakfast club (Albert street primary school) and after the bell program (South street primary school). Throughout the investigation the underlying factor that seems to be a common issue is that even though there have been some changes to help support low socio economically affect areas and multiculturalism is a large and diverse issue that has changed in some areas but there so much more that needs to happen, not only in the curriculum but educators, schools, families, communities and the government. Using Moe and Warragul examples of only a very small piece to the education system where these issues aren’t as significant as other areas within Australia there is still the reality that these issues are going away and that something needs to be implemented and encourage within the education
