As we begin to enter spring we notice everything looks dead and lifeless. Everything is colorless and cold. Spring warms slowly, almost like it’s awakening from a deep slumber. The hemisphere begins to warm significantly causing new plant growth to “spring forth,” giving the season its name. The rain picks up around April and the spring begins to bloom. The spring months are usually March, April, and May. I always get together with my family on Easter and we dress nice and take photos and spend time together. Spring time has one of the most drastic changes in appearance. The snow begins to melt, and streams swell with runoff. Frosts become less severe. Many flowering plants bloom this time of year, continuing into early summer. Spring is seen as a time of growth, renewal, of new life (both plant and animal) being born. It seems like everything that was dead and dreary looking has been given new life. All of the trees begin to show new buds and come to life. The early spring flowers begin to bloom and everything is bursting with color. You have the Daffodil’s and Iris which tend to be well known, and you also have the Crocus, Camellia, Snowdrop, Chionodoxa, Scilla, Anemone, and many more start to bloom and share their vibrant colors. During mid spring it’s as

According to historians this celebration is dated back thousands of years ago to pagan celebrations of spring and fertility. Also including the raucous Roman festivals of Saturnalia and Lupercalia and when Christianity moved in to that area When Christianity arrived in Rome religious leaders decided to merge these popular local traditions into the new faith an easier task than abolishing them altogether.
