The problems in Israel will not fix themselves. The only way to fix them is to intervene in the issue, and get to the source of the problem. Over the course of this paper, there is information that shows some of the things that need to be looked at. There is a lot of the brutality that exist in this country. Throughout the paper there are quotes directly from stories about their human rights violations, also there is stories directly from people that have lived these horrific tragedies. This needs to be handled as they are killing innocent people. Not only were they killing innocent people to take over there land some of them even wanted to kill them just for fun. UN Human right article stated “Israel has strongly resisted allegations its troops violated international law, claims that could have serious implications after Palestinians joined the International Criminal Court, where they are pursuing war crimes charges against Israel” (“UN human rights”, 2015). The troops are allegedly killing Palestinian civilians. They are killing women and children that are just trying to have the best life possible for them and their families. The Israelis countered that from a UN human rights article “An Israeli probe concluded in June that the Israeli military’s actions in Gaza during the conflict were both “lawful” and “legitimate” a finding that human rights activist and Palestinians denounced” (“UN human rights”, 2015). Whether that statement is true or not is undetermined but, “We must remember that the victims are not just numbers … they are individual people, Davis said as she released the report in Geneva” (“Both sides”, 2015). More evidence does arise in the war which might make the Israelis liars in a human rights watch article “Human Rights Watch field investigations found 14 strikes by aerial drones or other aircraft for which there was no indication of a legitimate military target at the site at the time of the attack” (“Human rights watch”, 2013). They either lied to the International Criminal Court, or the investigations are false which the investigations’ being false is a low possibility; there is just too much evidence that should prove the military

In class discussions, one thing that really stood out to me was the discussion regarding the integration efforts within the Israeli society. Specifically, the author questions what kind of system is necessary in order to have smooth integration with the least amount of tension and culture conflict. The author then describes how he believes it is democratic pluralism. Which has been seen in Switzerland and Canada. Also how one had to maintain silence, as it talks about when the author explains his realization on the gravity of the ethnic problem in Israel in 1951.…

Also, from experiences over seas in Israel I have witnessed first hand the Palestinian Occupation. The color line that the Israelis draw is very oppressive and I feel personally effected by it. My family lives on a very low income over seas and even basic resources such as water are often withheld from them for days. This is similar to the colonies in Africa during the 1800’s who were occupied for resources. However, I do not let all this hinder my appreciation for who I am or where my parents came from of course.…

Each time they attack each other it just added more fuel to the situation. The Israeli government does not condone this act of violence. Yet, at the same time they have done little to nothing to stop it. Other countries have tried to jump in and fix the problem, such as the British and the United States, but their efforts have done little. There is no shaking sense into people who a driven with such hatred toward each other.…

Just when I thought Israel and Palestine could exist peacefully, many assassinations of public leaders and riots occurred. Most notably, the First Intifada occurred in the 1987. This event is very close to my heart, as it involved a nephew who I considered a son. Now this “Intifada” was characterized by the Palestinians rioting against Israeli soldiers and doing heinous actions, like throwing large stones at the soldiers. As I mentioned previously, the Intifada is particular sensitive for me because my nephew, Aaron, was involved in this attack.…

“Some people create their own storms, then get upset when it rains,” quoted an anonymous speaker. On May Fourteenth of 1948, Israel was created as a nation-state on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea in Southwest Asia. Its creation as a nation state, for both the Jews and Palestinians, made history, for better or worse. Israel’s founding has a been a topic focused on around the world for both the justifications of its making, along with the repercussions of its founding. The bringing forth and creation of Israel, along with the consequences of its making can be linked to the Jewish want for Zionism, the interaction of international groups of influence, conflicts between the people in and out of its borders, and the anti-Semitic relationships…

The state of Israel was declared in 1948 after the end of the British Mandate of Palestine, sparking a yearlong war over the state’s existence (Mahler, 2010: 41). Despite the turmoil, the newly created state designed and implemented its own legislature and held an election even as the war was still going on across the country. The Legislature called the Knesset, after an ancient Jewish tradition, became the ruling body of the State of Israel for the next 67 years. This essay will examine the Knesset looking at four main factor, the origins of the house, how a bill becomes law, its representation of various demographics, and attempts at reforming the house.…

Since the mid-twentieth century, Jews have been migrating to the land of Israel, known by the Arabs as Palestine, to escape the discrimination and persecution they had been facing in Europe for centuries. The Zionist movement began to grow as a result of the Holocaust, as the Jews believe they have a right to their own Jewish state where their holy sites are. However, the Arabs have been living in Palestine for generations, and they are unwilling to accept the formation of a Jewish state because of the Palestinian cultural and ancestral ties that exist in that land. Because both the Palestinians and Jews are obdurate and will not forswear the land they both feel they have a right to, the Arab-Israeli conflict is an incredibly complicated issue.…

If the Muslims were united and followed the path of God, then the collective strength of the Muslim nation is so great that this cruelty against Palestine could never have taken place” (Ahmed). Ahmeds’ point is that if Israel cannot establish peace and justice within themselves how are they supposed to relay those values to Palestinians. Two wrongs don’t make a right, and in this case both sides continue to lash back at each other committing one war crime after the next with no gain of peace what so ever. The President of the State of Palestine Ahmoud Abbas States “Our efforts are not aimed at isolating Israel or de-legitimizing it: rather we want to gain legitimacy for the case of the people of Palestine. We only aim to de-legitimize the settlement activities and the occupation and apartheid and the logic of the ruthless force, and we believe all countries of the world stand with us in this regard” (Abbas).…

Joanne, we can with certainty agree that Israel is a resilient nation fueled by their national power influenced by a strong spiritual infrastructure.1 I do appreciate your illustrations of how the all those who assume various leadership roles in Israel work together to protect and serve the people by teaching them survival skills. The Middle East has been a tinderbox almost since the beginning of time due to original sin. I do agree that the animosity between Israel and Palestine is political; however, there is animosity contributed to Muslims (Islam) contending that the descendants of Ishmael rightly own the land; whereas, Israel (Judaism) was promised the land, since God’s covenant was with Isaac (Genesis 17:19).
