My limited knowledge of the event, which has evolved through access of documentaries, and news shows have provided me with a foundational understanding of the attack and the pivotal roles that the emergency services played both during the attack and in the aftermath of the event. As I review the picture, it suggests a comradery between the two firemen in the devastation and terrible loss of life. In viewing the picture and seeing the dust which is literally setting on the site, a series of questions emerged in my mind including: how can you respond to people who are willing to kill themselves in supporting terrorist beliefs? Is there any true protection from those who would murder children and women to draw attention to themselves and their cause? No, it is my belief that you can only work to minimize the damage and prepare for the worst case scenarios.…

The world has become a place of utter chaos, a place where you constantly have to look over your shoulder, that is not any way someone should live. The world took a radical turn back in 1933, if the date sounds familiar, it should be. That is the date when the horrific events of the Holocaust began. Thinking back to all of the innocent people that lost their lives and didn’t have a clue what was happening should make a person feel the least bit angry, or wish that people had gotten more involved sooner. All of or most of the survivors (while it was still going on) tried to warn people, but people wouldn’t listen and they stayed silent about it.…

The terrorist group known as ISIS (Islamic State of Iraq) was able to come into being due to the weakness of the surrounding Middle eastern countries along with U.S. hesitancy has created a group with violent plans to bring the world to islam, with fear tactics such as the Paris attacks. They have grown as a threat “as sophisticated and well funded as any group that we have seen” (Coll) “Frankly [it’s] embarrassing for the world’s superpower” says Juan Zarate of CBS Security Analyst “to say that’s where we are three plus almost four years after this conflict has begun” (Kaplan). For a while now, we have been conducting airstrikes on ISIS and have created programs to train Syrian rebels, but all of our mediocre attempts to help the situation have been “strikingly ineffective.” Unless we can produce a force that could combat the ever growing force of ISIS, the Syrian world will continue to be just as destructive to the world as…

ISIS (Islamic State in Iraq and Syria) is a group of terrorist in the Middle East that has been a major threat within the past years. The main goal of ISIS is to achieve an Islamic state in Syria and Iraq. They are trying to achieve this goal in extreme and violent ways. To America, ISIS should be considered a minor threat, but to areas in the Middle East it should be considered a very large one. The United States should follow Obama’s four step plan to combat ISIS because it can help take down ISIS without getting too directly involved.…
