According to The World’s Wisdom Sacred Texts of The World’s religions by Philip Novak, “The first of Islam’s two central affirmation is, there is no God but God” (Novak 28). In Arabic we say it La ilaha illa’llah. In Islam we believed that there is no God but Allah, he is the creator of the perfect universe. As Muslim I believe that Allah has created the perfect universe for his creatures to live life on it. As Allah created human being, thus also he made every individuals to be accountable for their actions. In Islam there are a few things a person can and cannot do. For instance, every Muslims women are required to wear the hijab, hijab is a cloth that cover women face and hair. As it stated by Sheikh Amin Ali from ICCI Academy Chicago, “A Muslim person is not allowed to miss any prayer, even if she or he got sick, regardless of the diseases they have, they are required to pray by Islam law, even if he or she can’t stand, they have to pray while sitting”. Muslim pray five times a day as following. Salat Fajr before the sun rise, Salat Dhuhr at midday, Salat Asr at afternoon, Salat Maghrib at night, and Isha’a at night before bedtime.
