The message that is prevalent in this current culture is that Islam is a religion of peace. This is the predominant issue that is being researched in this paper. Is Islam a religion of peace or is it a religion of war? With a carful analysis of the history and doctrine of this ideology, an answer to this question can be clearly seen.

Islam is on the rise throughout the world. Noah Feldman writes, “By 1995 it was estimated that there were between 4.6 million and 5 million Muslims in the United States and Canada.” Islam has been one of the fastest growing religions in the world.
Muhammad al-Jahiliya was born in Mecca in 570 AD. His father was a part of the Quraysh tribe. His father died before Muhammad was born and his mother died when he was only six years old. As with many new religions, their standard is based on Christianity in some form or fashion. Because Muhammad’s early days in Mecca were surrounded by Christians and Jews, many of his earliest influences were from these faiths. The Quran is the holy scripture that was given from Allah to Muhammad from December 22, 609 AD till his death in 632 AD. The word Quran or Koran Justo González says literally means “the recitation”.
