ISIS: A Threat To The World

ISIS is the biggest threat to the world and to the Christian people because over the past Three months ISIS has killed about 5,300 Christians and Yazidi. ISIS also forced about 1.2 million Iraqis and Syrian citizens out of their homes. ISIS militants are not Muslims; in fact they’re not even humans because no human would commit the crime that ISIS had committed in the past months. On one occasion ISIS militants killed About 500 Yezidis and buried some alive, while killing others in a mass execution. The aim of ISIS is to create an Islamic state across the Sunni areas of Iraq and Syria. ISIS is known for conducting mass public executions, crucifixions to non-Muslims such as Jews, Catholics and Christians. Over the past year ISIS militants have taken control of a large part of northern and western Iraq and some parts of Syria. At first ISIS was a part of Osama Bin Laden’s notorious terrorist group Al-Qaeda. Before ISIS …show more content…
ISIS militants believe what they’re doing is right because it’s their duty as Muslims to declare jihad and establish an Islamic state where the Sharia laws is enforced and led by one supreme religious and political leader, called a caliph. “Sharia law is based on certain teachings of the Quran and requires all people under the caliphate’s “jurisdiction” to abide by the law.”(The Rise of ISIS). Those who fail to obey the sharia laws have to face Punishments such as flogging, stoning, hanging, beheading, and crucifixion. ISIS militants feel as if it’s their duty to build an Islamic state because that’s what the Muhammad and Allah would want them to do. On June 29th of 2014 ISIS publicly announces the creation of a caliphate. Caliphate simply means Islamic state.
