ISIS has taken over Syria and Iraq and has altered the way of life of many Iraqis and Syrians. The people that live under ISIS’ rule have been affected by many different things. If ISIS leaders decide they do not like something you do, you will most likely be beaten, abused, or killed for doing it. They also do not give them enough time for using their water, giving only 2 hours a day for a city to shower at a community shower. The suffering is much greater than what is shown in popular western media. A bulk of the people of Syria and Iraq want ISIS gone and to be “destroyed,” but no solution has been found so far. The majority of Middle Eastern and powerful western countries are trying to find a way to do so. ISIS is a Salafi jihadist militant …show more content…
They think that all states that are able to join, the fight against ISIS in Iraq and Syria, should join. The council, which has 15 members, adopted a resolution from the bombings in France that killed 130 people, that ISIS took full blame for. ISIS had used Syria’s almost five year Civil War as a distraction of what they were actually doing, that way the people would not notice. The U.S. had been bombing those areas for over a year, and Russia began air strikes in Syria in September. The council’s resolution is to, “call upon member states that have the capacity to do so to take all necessary measures ... on the territory under the control of ISIl [ISIS],” (Security council unanimously calls on UN members to fight Isis 1). “The world has united against Isil [Islamic State]. The international community has come together and has resolved to defeat this evil, which threatens people of every country and every religion,” said the British Prime Minister, David Cameron (Security council unanimously calls on UN members to fight Isis 1). Britain had launched air strikes into Iraq, but Cameron wants to follow allies as well by extending airstrike’s into neighboring Syria. The United Nations has some good points to their resolutions but, they are not going to necessarily fix the whole issue all together. (Security council unanimously calls on UN members to fight Isis

It is proper to compare the WW2 Nazi’s to the modern day ISIS terrorists because of their similar reason to eliminate a certain religion because they think it is “inferior” and/or “satanic worshipers”. The Nazi’s were one group that changed history forever with its horrible acts against its own species, that will be remembered for centuries to come, unless something similar happens to that extent in the future. The Nazi group was controlled by one and only one man, Adolf Hitler, whom thought that all Jewish, Homosexual, Mentally Ill and/or had Physical Deformities should be exterminated. Now, the ISIS is a modern day “chip off the ole block” of the now hated Nazi party. It has set its sights on the Yazidis, a religion that is from middle east…

They have grown as a threat “as sophisticated and well funded as any group that we have seen” (Coll) “Frankly [it’s] embarrassing for the world’s superpower” says Juan Zarate of CBS Security Analyst “to say that’s where we are three plus almost four years after this conflict has begun” (Kaplan). For a while now, we have been conducting airstrikes on ISIS and have created programs to train Syrian rebels, but all of our mediocre attempts to help the situation have been “strikingly ineffective.” Unless we can produce a force that could combat the ever growing force of ISIS, the Syrian world will continue to be just as destructive to the world as…

Like the Taliban or Al Qaeda, they wear normal clothing and can easily blend in with the rest of the civilians there. They can go into hiding and never be noticed in a crowd unless you know who you are looking for. They hide and fight in crowded urban areas making it is easier for them to escape. ISIS can travel very well because they can travel with migrants and never be detected while traveling from one country to the next. They are arriving to the Middle East from places like the Sub-Saharan Africa, Tunisia, and Europe (“What ISIS Really”).…

The United Nations (UN) is the closest the international system has to an international government, it is organisation bringing 193 member states together in order to “maintain international peace and security, develop friendly relations among nations, and cooperate in solving international problems.” These are main goals highlighted in the UN charter and are the reasons why the UN is such a vital component in the international system.…
