Isis Is Good Essay

Is it imaginable that Isis is good for our world? Isis, the next big militant group after Al-Qaeda with the amount of executions performed and brutality toward the civilians in the Middle East. It is true that Isis is terrible due to their actions performed on the innocent people, however the effects of Isis is providing good things for the world today as it allowed for the world to learn how to deal with the militant group and how to prevent from any other major group forming. The reason Isis was formed in the first place is because the U.S. government wanted to replace Assad in Syria by giving weapons to radical Muslim groups fighting Assad. Everyone can thank the rise to the militant group when Bush was in office. Ali Khedery from TheGuardian.com claims that Isis ¨is the product of a genocide that continued unabated as the world stood back and watched¨ (Khedry). Mr. Khedery refers back to Saddam Hussein’s reign and the genocide Hussein performed on his own people, but his view on the subject is wrong. Some types are worse than others as shown in past history such as the fall of the Soviet Union. Isis is another example by showing to the world that religion fundamentalism is not going to work at all. It simply has no place in our world currently as “it starts wars” (Wood) with whatever type of religion. Isis is good as to show that fundamentalism is vulnerable and how it does not survive with reality. The Middle East currently has many religious problems due to the fact that everyone does not have the same beliefs that militant group does. Isis kills based off of their interpretation from the Quran. The reason Isis destroys ancient cities because they are against idolatry as they believe that God cannot be portrayed at all.
