Ishmael Beah Research Paper

Ishmael Beah was a component of the child recruited soldier. He was born on Nov 23, 1980, in Sierra Leone. Ishmael and his brother fall in love with hip hop at such a young age. To them, Hip Hop is just a music and they enjoying it, not knowing that Hip Hop will later be a lifesaver. In 1991, The civil war in Sierra Leone started; Ishmael, an innocent young boy, on the other hand has no clue of what a war looks like. He would never think that this war, particularly will transmute his life forever. Unknowingly, Ishmael and his friends included his brother went to Mattru Jong for performance and this journey will be the last path Ishmael will walk happily as an inculpable puerile boy.

Not knowing whether his family was alive or dead, Ishmael, his brother and a few of his friends fleeing for their lives. They have never run that long and was in starvation. They came across multiple villages, but people in the villages were also feared for their life. Because Ishmael and his friends walk in a group, people come to fear them. Ishmael was disunited from his brother and friends in Kamator where they work as a farmer.He was lost in a deep jungle, but luckily he ran into his old friends. During the time he was alone, he thought about his grandmother's words and his father's words; these words kept him moving. Though he was not alone anymore, he face a new problem. And the problem being the trepidations of people. Since they walk as a group, people will avoid them and trying to attack them to keep their village safe.
