Isabella Zenteno

Decent Essays
I am writing this reference at the request of Isabella Zenteno who is applying for admission to your University.
I have known Isabella for two years in my capacity as a teacher at Robert E Lee High School, in Midland, Texas. Isabella took Pre-AP Chemistry and Physics. Based on Isabella's grades and class participation, I'd rate Isabella's academic performance in my class as exceptional.
Isabella has a number of strengths to offer any University. Isabella is always interested in supporting others. For example, she has always been willing to tutor others and help disadvantaged by volunteering for her church.
In conclusion, I would highly recommend Isabella Zenteno. Isabella has overcome many adversities and continues to be a positive influence

    Tatiana De Rosnay

I believe the way Tatiana De Rosnay alternated Julia and Sarah’s stories and time frames was effective. Reading about these events through two different points of views was really interesting. While reading Julia’s point of view, we can see that some people are guilty of not caring or are oblivious to the Vel’ d’Hiv roundup, however in Sarah’s point of view, we can understand the fear and humiliation the Jews were going through. There were also a few drawbacks in this style as well.…

    Antonina Comrades Summary

Antonina Żabiński, also known as the zookeeper’s wife, was a truly amazing character that showed through her sensitivity to all things, love, kindness, and quick thinking. Antonina and Jan (her husband) helped save at least three hundred Jews and friends from concentration camps and extermination. With the help of many people, the Żabińskis hid Jews in empty animal cages after their animals were taken away to the Berlin Zoo. Despite having their entire lives taken away from them, they stayed positive and used their misfortune for a greater reason, which I think is truly amazing. It takes someone of great character and kindness to be nonconforming and stay true to their own hearts.…

It amazed me as I watched the movie how quickly things turned violent, suddenly these women that had been protesting the whole time and had not changed anything they had done were suddenly absolutely villainess. They began to be physically attacked, harassed and degraded on a level that they had never been before. It was like watching the boulder roll downhill and once it had started nothing could stop it. It just kept gathering more and more debris and causing more destruction as it progressed. Eventually Alice Paul herself was arrested after insisting that she would participate in the protests.…
