Isabella, the youngest girl of a family consisting of five brothers and three sisters, a serious and shy girl she didn’t have many friends. Ordinarily she spent her time with her mother helping her around the house. With 5 boys in the home there were innumerable chores to be done.
The family was boisterous and active. Wearing his navy work pants and an undershirt, her father, often took off his belt and chased around one of the boys to settle an argument.
An uncomfortable atmosphere to grow up in, tension always hung heavy in the air.
Barely having enough money to feed everyone didn’t stop them from owning many pets, generally including 2 dogs, 6 cats, and dozens of strays.

When they weren’t together Isabella daydreamed about Keldon, of the life they would have together, happily ever after.
Isabella found school hard and boring, she struggled with her studies and didn’t get help from anyone at home. Ending her education when she was 16 and only in grade 9 she proceeded to find a job-making record players.
On a sweltering day in July 1971 Isabella and Keldon married at Alderwood United Church, there were lots of family, food, and drink. Everyone thought that this was a marriage to last forever!
THE MARRIAGE
Two years after getting married Isabella found out she was pregnant. She had been trying for some time. What a wonderful moment! Her sisters were also pregnant and the 3 babies were would be born, each 3 months apart.
Isabella was excited but she was nauseated for the entire time. There were moments that she was unsure if she would carry the baby full term. She was a slender woman before the pregnancy and she only gained a couple of pounds during the whole 9 months
The family grew bigger as Isabella’s five brothers also had babies.

Two and a half years later they had a baby boy, they named Micha. Isabella could not have been happier. She had her small, quiet family, a house and a responsible man who had a steady job.
Isabella loved the sound of the kids playing together, the giggles and the playful sounds of all the young children.
Soon they were growing out of their small home and were looking for a larger house to buy. They moved to Brampton into a house was three times the size. Unfortunately, this meant that they moved away from their families.
Keldon kept his job, but had to travel further to work.
Isabella was without a car and they were far from the supermarket and drugstore. The kids were still young and not in school yet. She became lonely in the small community.
They didn’t live away for too long because they decided to move had not been in their best interests and moved back to the city of Toronto into a medium sized home where they lived for 20 years.
Life seemed to return to normal.
