Isaac Newton, one of the greatest scientific minds in the 17th century Newton was

known as a natural philosopher instead of a scientist, he became famous all around the

world. Isaac is " secretive, withdrawn, obsessive, ruthless, bitter, and perhaps in need of

therapy, All of these things apply to Isaac Newton.(pg.13) It's not his fault though when

he was just a baby his father died so he never knew his father. Also his mother deserted

him when he was eight years old, he wasn't even expected to make it because he was

abnormally small when he was a newborn, but Isaac was a fighter.(pg.14) Isaac Newton

lived with his grandparents for eight years, he had a lonely childhood, he had three half

siblings, but he hated them all he wanted

17) All he wanted to do

was read his books and think, Isaac was very religious and that's all that was the genre

of books he read just religious books. Isaac liked his books so much he even built

shelves from wood he was good at building things. When he was born civil war

happened and it lasted for eleven years, then King Charles the 1st got beheaded, then

King Charles the 2nd came to power. Some puritans left for the American colonies

during the civil war.(pg.15) Newton got into science when he was twelve and he loved

science, he did science for the rest of his life and he always was thinking he did his first

experiment at sixteen. Isaac wasn't very good at school, he was close to the bottom of

his class, but he was a genius, he just wasn't that into school.

My favorite parts of the book were that I learned that Isaac Newton was an

important person even though he wasn't that respectful to people. I thought this

Galileo's

telescope only had one long glass piece just on the inside of it. Newton didn't like

criticism he would try to destroy you if you were to criticize any of his work, but scientists

are supposed to share their observations with each other but Isaac Newton didn't want

anyone's help.

I like how Newton stands up for himself and doesn't take anyone's crap, Newton

spends a lot of his time thinking, that's really all he did he figured out how the colors

came to be. "light is all colors if you were to look at the sky you would say the sun is

giving off light which is white which makes colors, if it was dark what colors would you

see? You wouldn't see any colors you would just see black and black is the absence of

light. After reading this book it made me think just like Isaac Newton did all the time.

I recommend this book, it was a great book I enjoyed reading it. I enjoyed

reading it because you got to learn about one of the most important people on the

planet. Without Isaac Newton where would we be today, lots of things wouldn't

Mathematical calculations can explain concepts objectively, which means Newton’s findings are rather logical as he avoided stating opinionated statements without examples. These calculations can also be applied to predict events in the future. In 1684, Halley asked Newton about the force of attraction towards the sun, Newton answer that he used calculations to prove the curve being in an ellipsis shape (Cohen 52). Although he didn’t manage to find his calculated solution, he used another new method to prove it and had the same answer (Cohen 52).…
