When he introduced the “yellow brick road” to take her into the Emerald City, they described it as “painted completely bright golden yellow with the yellow so bright it cannot be missed”. In my opinion, this was supposed to represent good things to come and positivity. There were parts of the book where the bricks became broken and not as glowing yellow. During this time, danger was imminent, giving the impression that less saturation of yellow lead to a more dangerous setting. It was this yellow road that ended up bringing them into the Emerald City and reaching their goal of meeting Oz.…

Hallmark 's Cedar Cove will always hold a distinctive place in my heart for a variety of reasons, and I will admit that Teryl Rothery is one of them. I was introduced to this exquisite actress through that show, and I can still remember sitting there in my chair watching her portrayal of Grace. I so identified with her character, and once I began to research Teryl 's career, I was awestruck with her versatility and extensive range of her abilities that she has had the opportunity to demonstrate over the course of her impressive career. Recently, Teryl graciously agreed to answer a few questions about her chosen profession as well as her notable (and current) sci-fi and Hallmark works. teryl-rothery-hallmark-channel-2015-winter-tca-party_1.jpg…

As the North Witch I am patting and comforting Dorothy as she starts to cry and I am a happy Witch so I like to make others feel happy not bad. The second time I use the sense of touch as the North Witch is when I shove the Witch of the West on the shoulder, as I’m telling her to go away. The one thing I dislike in the play when I am the Guard is opening up the Emerald City door because no one is supposed to be there, but I do it anyways because I am the protector of the Wizard of…

When dealing with a popular story such as The Wizard Of Oz, coming across different versions of this narrative happens quite frequently and causes differences within the plot to arise. In Franks Baum’s, The Wizard of Oz published in 1990, Dorothy is caught in a tornado’s path, which ultimately carries her and her house to the Land of Oz. As a result, the wizard goes through great lengths to reassure each of Dorothy’s companions that they have in fact received the traits they desire and Dorothy gets her wish of being transported back home to Kansas.
