We as a society have become so dependent on our phones that without it we begin to feel lost and weak as if it’s a drug. Steve Cutt does a great job of depicting the true meaning of our society through these images or as he calls them the “sad truth“. The imagine that has caught my attention was the one that looked like the zombie apocalypse has taken over, except the zombies were actually us humans and our food supply are our phones (technology). My reaction to this image consisted of agreement and worry that we might actually be in big trouble if we continue to live a life where technology is our most important need rather than being happy with what we have. Instead we are becoming a consumer – driven society what always wants more of…

Zombies eat brains; however, we don't use our brains any longer. Because of the ownership of cell phones, we don't have to either. In the event that we have to know the meaning of a word, we will Google it as opposed to looking for the closest dictionary. On the off chance that we have to take care of a basic math equation, a calculator is constantly open on our smart phones too. Technological zombies are all over, even on the roadways.…

Shames asserts that Americans have been influenced by the frontier belief “that America would keep on booming” (para. 9). I feel that this belief continues to be influential into the twenty-first century. People may not be realized how the circumstances are changing around them, but if they compare between the past and the present, it is really easy to know many things have been changing and improving. People have been willing to seek more valuable and convenient things in life even in the past, and there are many elements that would last to improve for a long time, especially various types of technology. Since there are many kinds of technology that have been improved in America, such as in the medical field or the mechanical engineering,…
