In an article called Choosing to End a Life by Julie-Anne Davies which says "Fear of being in pain , but also the indignity of being trapped in a body which no longer functions but where the brain is as active as ever, can transform the most law abiding and conservative citizens into Fugitives" (Davies 2). They will have many reasons as to why they believe that it is wrong such as religious reasons or that they believe life is sacred and that it shouldn’t be taken away no matter what. In some cases like the one in the article Active Euthanasia Is Never Morally Justified by Doug McManaman “It is never justified to intentionally bring an end to human life in order to relieve one of a burdensome existence” (McManaman). What McManaman is saying here is basically that it is not right for a person to end their life no matter what they are going through or how they feel in this case. He uses the word burdensome as anything that makes someone uncomfortable that gets in their way of living with this article. These people who argue to keep euthanasia illegal don’t know what the patients are going through and they should realize that the patient knows what is best for them. They also should think about if they were in as much pain as the patient is how they would respond to it because they may think that they would just stick it out, but in the end they might choose the same thing that these patients are choosing because the pain is bad or because they can’t stand just waiting and sitting around doing nothing when they know they are dying. People should realize that as long as it doesn’t affect them or their loved one and isn’t harming a mass amount of people that there is
