Global Warming Hoax

Is the end near or is it all a hoax?

The long-term use of greenhouse gases including fuel for cars, emissions from charcoal and many others will have everlasting effects that will ultimately lead to the demise of civilization and mankind. Changes in climate will have damaging consequences, such as flooding and increased worldwide storm activity, which can be prevented only if humans get involved. Media may portray emotional stories to fear society into beliefs. Evidence will be proven for each side of the argument whether it be global warming being a complete hoax or everything coming to an end in due time.

They refer to it as a hoax because they don 't see enough studies being done on changes that are occurring. Changes like increasing temperatures and rising sea levels are not enough to conclude that man is to blame and that they should be held accountable for future damages. Earth 's inner core is as hot as the sun and can be very damaging from underneath us rather than the pollution happening above. National Geographic states that magma is “molten, or partially melted, rock beneath the Earth 's surface.” Magma underneath the surface can cause as much melting of the ice caps as the damage of the ozone and sun creeping in …show more content…
A while back, there was an article published explaining how 12 renowned scientists who were skilled in researching climate change did not believe that it was real. In today’s world, scientists could be paid to say something is a hoax. In a video published for her campaign, Lenar Whitney, who is running for a seat in Louisiana’s congress, calls global warming a hoax. She argues in the video posted on YouTube that the myth of global warming is “designed to give more power to the executive branch, while increasing taxes in a progressive 's dream to regulate every aspect of American life from our lightbulbs to our thermostat.” People like her may be calling it a hoax because of political reputation and campaign profiting reasons. For political hopefuls like Lenar Whitney, a campaign slogan is something which can make or break their entire

It is plan to see that we are putting something in the air that definitely should not be there. In The Sixth Extinction Kolbert points out that if we continue to pump carbon into the atmosphere the global temperature will increase between three and seven degrees in a few years. I can agree with the fact that we are not paying attention enough to emissions coming from out cars and we are not really trying to carpool. So again, I can see how I may be contributing to the increase in temperature which in turn is melting the polar icecaps at an alarming rate. It is not a coincidence that we are starting to have a lot of floods and tornados.…

Global warming is a serious problem, and it’s just that; a global issue. We have to make sure that we catch up with the rest of the world, because the fate of the world literally hangs in the balance of this. Our world is the only one we have, and Al Gore’s documentary proves so much of this. He’s proven that the planet’s CO2 emissions are rising. He’s proven that the atmosphere is deteriorating.…

Scientists had dubbed this issue as the brink of the 6th mass extinction with the Cretaceous-Tertiary Extinction, the last mass extinction, being 65 million years ago. Greenhouse gases emission is rising at the highest rate its ever been in 30 years. The fact of the matter is you don't even have to believe in climate change. In the science field alone, Merchants of Doubt describes how the group of scientist use taglines such as no scientific consensus or degree of uncertainty in several cases. The tobacco industry, global warming, and the ozone layer depletion are only a few examples where the science has been attacked to stop government involvement. However, being deceived isn’t the only issue. Scientists have provided overwhelming evidence on global warming alone yet many still consider it a myth. The issue with no following up is global warming is still there.…

I suppose global warming to be a hoax because there is no profound evidence it is going to happen. One reason to reassure my claim is that there has been record levels of snow. High levels of snow usually indicate extremely chilly climates, so if there was elevated levels of heat then snow could not form. Another reason I claim it to be a hoax is because the polar bears are thriving. Polar bears live in excessively cold climates, so it must be intensively icy if they are able to survive, grow, and reproduce.…

In order to appeal to the public, journalists tend to favor coverage of human-interest stories and exaggerate consequences for emotional appeal. While it is true that the media has reported inaccurate predictions concerning climate change, that does not mean that future consequences should be dismissed. Given the factors that go into predicting the future of climate change, it is no surprise that the UN Commission’s current forecasts are different from its predictions ten years ago. Influences such as how much the levels of greenhouse gas concentrations in the atmosphere increase, how the climate reacts to these levels, and natural impacts of the climate are essentially difficult for scientists to predict. While the natural changes do occur to the environment, humans play a role in changes, too.…

CREDIBILITY : I did an assignment about two different thoughts between two environmentalist : Al Gore and Botkins. Al Gore, with the article “The time to act is now”, informed to the reader how bad global warming is and alerted them the need to react now . In the March 2015 issue of National Geographic, an article by Joel Achenbach entitled “The Age of Disbelief”, discusses the rise of climate change skepticism, explore the increasing polarization between cynics and advocates, and examines the what is causing reasonable people to distrust reasons. Achenbach, who is a staff writer for left leaning Washington Post and a monthly contributor for National Geographic, points out that the concept of climate change is born out of scientific methods which bear truths that are less than self-evident and can be hard to swallow. These are the same methods that Galileo use to proclaim that earth orbits around the sun and where Darwin proposed that we all evolved from a single celled organism, both of which vehemently opposed…

The valuable documentary An Inconvenient Truth persuades viewers that global warming is an issue through the graphs and images, the use of personal life stories, and the effects of natural disasters. Some people can be told the truth about global warming many times over again and still fail to believe it. But in An Inconvenient Truth, Al Gore presents the information in a way that nobody can say is false. As Robert Swan said, many people believe someone else will save the planet. But the only ones who are going to save it are the people who truly stand up and make a change for the…

Global warming is being caused by humans and something should be done about it. The reason global warming is so prevalent is because people do not know they are hurting the environment and some people do not believe it is real. There will be consequences to everyone if nothing is done about it. Around the world, less than half the people in the UK (43 percent), Germany (49 percent), and Norway (34 percent) believe that global warming is caused by civilization (Le Page).…

Many Americans believe that we are not the cause of what’s accelerating the Earth’s downfall. According to Michael Ranney, “If you don’t understand the mechanism, then you just have competing authorities, kind of like the Pope and Galileo. (PBS). Ranney believed that if global warming could not be proven by a mechanism, it did not exist, but this is not the case. Dan Kahan, stated that “declaring a position on the issue can become more a statement of cultural identity than one of scientific understanding” (PBS).…
