Time and time again the United States of America has proven itself to be a lethal force in war, this is both the nation’s greatest wartime strength and its weakness. When the United States dropped two atomic bombs on the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, killing thousands of Japanese and instituting the conclusion of conflict in the Pacific Theatre of WWII, it was proven to the world how ruthlessly violent the nation truly is. The United States’ use of the atomic bomb was not necessary primarily as it caused massive civilian causalities.
