The American Dream As We Know It Throughout history, America has always been a home to immigrants around the world. From white colonists dating back to the 15th century, to numerous amount of other ethnic groups that arrived in later years, each one of them all had one common goal. The intention was to search for a better life and achieve the American Dream in the Land of Opportunities by escaping the horrors of poverty, famine, communism, and war. The fundamental view of the American dream was achieving respect, prosperity, and success through the amount of willpower and hard work. America’s picture-perfect idea of freedom, opportunity, liberty, and equality enables those to climb up the social status and fulfill a meaningful life.

They want us to believe that the reason America’s poverty rate has increased is because of the poor folks, but in fact it is actually the wealthy folks. The American Dream as we know today will ultimately be in stake of vanishing or plainly disappearing.
