When questioning if the American dream is still achievable, one must focus on what the true meaning is, which is where anyone in the US can succeed and have the potential to live a happy, and successful life through hard work, and prosperity. It also entails that anyone who comes to the US should be entitled to various opportunities to live a longer and fuller life. In today’s modern world, it can be quite difficult to make that judgment if the dream is slowly rising or dying. Foremost, there are many setbacks as to why obtaining this dream can hold one back such as; the crappy government, the job market, and cost of living. Consequently, If the job market would allow more people to have access to the job market, and educational system, I believe the dream could potentially be achieved. If one has a strong educational background, I believe they could potentially receive a job offer that will place them in the direction of their own dreams and perhaps the original American Dream. Even with Cal Thomas’s suggestions on how the dream could be obtained, it is still questionable. The definition of the American dream starting that anyone in the US can succeed and live a happy life
