Due to years and years of technological advancements, Americans find it easier than ever to connect with their friends and family on a global scale. Nowadays, it is common to see someone call and or text while driving. Even though it is a dangerous habit many neglect about the real life consequences it can bring leading it to a life-threating accident. According to Huffington Post, 1 in 4 Americans are killed daily from vehicle accidents that involve texting and driving. To put an end to the countless lives lost, I propose that cellphone usage while driving should be outlawed in the US.
Why should texting and driving be illegal? Driving while texting is considered one of the leading causes of teenage deaths in America.
