Is Technology Ruining Us?

The internet is in everyone’s life in one way or another, there is no way to ignore it. People’s livings and ways of life are driven off of phones and computers, some jobs wouldn’t even be available if it weren’t for technology. The real question is, is the internet helping us or is it only numbing our own knowledge and thoughts, and making us reliant on technology. When someone thinks about this question long enough it becomes more clear that yes, technology is ruining parts of our lives: Since we have become more reliant on technology we forget many things we might look up on Google, because we know the next day we can just look it up again, with technology people also start getting the idea that they can multitask now, but when humans do multitask, especially in regards to technology, it can shroud our thoughts and forget simple things that can sometimes be essential to life. …show more content…
As a growing society constantly needing to know things whether someone forgot something or if they need to wright an essay, whatever it is, when people look up something they might get Facebook notifications, texts, and among other things and this just gets distracting while trying to retain the information. So although an avid essay writer remembers what to type that day they could easily forget their train of thought the next day.
