chance to defend himself. And it would be tough for him to represent a man he believes is guilty. It is easier to just remain ignorant, and treat every client fairly. Even if his clients are guilty, it does not mean that they do not deserve a second chance. My uncle has taught me that every man, women, and child on this earth deserves the same level of fairness and justice. The final character trait that makes me into the person I am, is spirituality.
Spirituality has always been an important aspect of my life. I have always believed in a higher power. In my opinion, there is a large scheme in life that gives everything purpose. This sense of spirituality gives me comfort. To me live has meaning. Being a spiritual person, does not mean that

When I was in middle school, my grandfather passed away. He and I had always been close. He had a huge impact on shaping me into the man I am today. My grandfather’s death, though not wholly unexpected, still came as a shock to me. He was the first person, who was close to me, that I had lost. I could not comprehend why god would do such a thing. Why on earth would he take such a good man from this earth? Following this experience, I stopped going to church for a while, as well as praying a lot less. This death had really shaken me to the core. However it was his wife, my grandmother, how reinforced my faith. She had always been a spiritual woman. She never missed mass, and even slept with a cross above her bed. While she was upset over the passing of her husband, she explained to me that he was going to a better place and that he was pain free. She saw the death as a release from all my grandfather’s troubles. He had a bitter battle with cancer his final year, and was in a great deal of pain. She saw his death, as part of god’s plan. God did not want my grandfather to be in pain anymore, so he summoned him to heaven. The next week, I went to church with her and began to feel better about my grandfather’s death. I began to accept, and remembered that god has a plan for all of us. So while my spirituality was shaken by a death, my role model was able to reinforce my beliefs, and restore my faith.
Every person on this earth is different. We are all unique, not only in terms of our appearances, but also in the makeup of our personalities. Our personalities are the sum of all our character traits. Traits like love and caring, temperance, courage, love of learning, justice, and spirituality make use the people we are. All the traits are constantly being affected by what transpires in our lives. Human beings, in this way, are always

Give examples of how the practice of ministry has affected your experience and understanding of A) God At the core of my understanding of God is a God of love in covenantal relationship with God’s children. Romans 8:38-39 says it well; “For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.” The practice of ministry has only proven to strengthen that belief. I was called early Saturday morning to sit with a family who had just learned of the death of their daughter/granddaughter in a vehicle accident.…

While this statement is not completely correct it is also not completely incorrect. Spirituality is a very broad concept that cannot be limited to just one definition. It can be different things for different people. For some, spirituality could be engaging with others and being a part of a collective community while for others, it may be spending time in a meditative state sharing your thoughts with God. To generalize spirituality is a common mistake made by many people.…

My father’s death at the end of tenth grade was sudden but, not completely unexpected because of his history of alcohol abuse. Despite the many mixed emotions that I was going through, I still went to school the day after he passed away because I knew that studying, and preparing for my finals was important to being successful in my life. Even with everything that happened I still managed to do very well in all of my classes, finals and even in my…

Introduction Concept Analysis, though a powerful tool, was only adapted to be used in nursing towards the end of the last Century. In 1986, Walker and Avant adapted the process, that John Wilson developed in 1960 for analyzing concepts, to be used in nursing (McEwen, 2014, p. 58). Prior to this time, there were no clear processes laid out to define the analysis of concepts in the nursing practice. Walker and Avant based their process “on Wilson’s method and clarified his methods so that graduate students could apply them to examine phenomena of interest to nurses” (McEwen, 2014, p. 58).…

As we arrived to church, that’s when it really hit me that she was gone and I started feeling a weird feeling inside my stomach since I was really nervous of having to see her inside that coffin. Walking towards her coffin was really hard for me since it’s a very sad and hurtful experience that no one like to go through. I started to tear down as soon as I saw her 3 children cry for her. As spirituality becomes an increasingly popular tool in the service of mental health, the efficacy of spirituality on positive mental health must be examined. The question arises, not just whether or not spirituality is effective, but also “why or why not?” As a skeptic of spiritual practice, I have been curious about the effectiveness as well as the perceived effectiveness, and how those compare.
