Rosenwald discusses the social network can bring out the shyness of people. A lot of people have their agreements and disagreements of being shy. However, it is different interacting in person rather than talking online because it is not having any disclosure of a person. Rosenwald states, “Recent studies have shown that shy people are spending more time on Facebook than more socially confident people do, and that the shy report higher satisfaction with the service than do others.” Rosenwald argues that talking on social media can make people’s shyness go away and enhance their self-esteem by interacting on the Internet. Or people that are against that can ruin the interaction of the building communication face to face. Some of the authors had supportive evidence and opinion they have given. Nevertheless, in today’s society, the new generation is people are going to use their devices to socialize around the world. In addition, new technology is creating new ways to interact on the Internet for example, Skype or face time on the IPhone.
