Science School Event

An event that I attended in the school that I’m currently placed in is science night. In science night, all the teachers in the elementary school came up with fun quick experiments/activities that the students and their families can come and discover/ enjoy at the event. The families got a chance to learn about science when attending this event. This event was open to all the students and families of this school. Furthermore, it was interesting to see how older siblings of the students attending the school were encourage to form part of the event. My CT often asked the older students if they will like to participate in the activity, and in most occasions they would say yes. In addition, teachers created such creative/ interactive activities that made everybody want to try the experiment or activity related to science. Moreover, all of the teachers allowed the students and their families to keep the product made such as the edible models that the students created to represent the soil layers of Earth. The event also offer free food after the families completed about 6 activities in the event, which serve as an incentive to push students and its families to participate in as many activities as possible. …show more content…
Most of the activities required students to create and work with manipulatives which made students want to participate in the activities. The students were also able to take home with them materials, and things created, to their houses which was kind of a perk of participating in the activity. Something that I will criticize about the event was the fact that some students did not even participate in some booths, but just went to the booth to get a

One of my favorite activities was the washing clothes one. You would wash a rag with a washboard in a tub. I would dip the rag in water, cover it in soap and then rinse it out over and over again until I was satisfied with cleanliness of the rag then I would put it through this mangle-type drier. With the help of a worker I would crank all the water out until I was left with a damp rag, and then id hang it up with clothespins on a clothes line. Another activity I really enjoyed was the school.…

Riding on ambulances and volunteering at the squad provided much-needed insight into the field and taught me valuable skills, such as patient care and effective communication. After completing a four-month intensive EMT course and state exam, I can proudly say that I am now a New Jersey certified EMT.…
