15 May 2015 Is Religion still Relevant in modern society?
In a world of fast paced living, electronics and self-worries is there such a thing as religion anymore? Where there are so many different niches, groups, and ideas to have. We live in a world of the now, where the thought of thinking and caring beyond ourselves and our needs seems hard enough to bear. So in this new modern society, is there such a thing as religion? Religion is a collection of beliefs that usually have an origin or set view on life. There’s many different beliefs branching out from a lot of the same stories but the prime factor is that there is that same faith. The bible dates all the way back to B.C. time. Throughout time there has been many believers in the many different religions but along that path, it has been accompanied with different thinkers. Philosophers, theorists, freethinkers, whatever you may call them, have given their own varied personal opinions of something as religion throughout time. For example, Albert Einstein has said and supported not believing in a personal god.

A common argument for atheists is The Big Bang Theory which is a theory that the universe started out with dust particles that grew into the universe and everything else we know today. Other reasons can consist of the thought of gods being self-contradictory, faith seeming unreliable, or just plainly not seeing a point in religion. Where in older times atheism was simply non-belief, now it’s its own niche and following to be an atheist where it seems to have morphed into what sees to be a modern day religion which seems a little contradictory in
