What is a Modern-day hero? A Modern-day hero is Someone with Super powers, or fancy cars and things like that. They love to save people and don’t run away from villains or bad people. Odysseus is like a Modern hero in many ways, but is also not in many ways. Is Odysseus like a modern-day hero and not like a modern-day hero by, being fiction, not having any powers, and love story.

Odysseus is like a modern-day hero by being fiction. Most super heroes are fake by having powers, or living in on a different planet, etc. For example, Odysseus lives in the sky and in a castle, Modern-day heroes like Superman and Thor live on a different planet. Everyone knows Modern-day heroes are fake and that they are usually made up, just like Odysseus.

    In “The Odyssey”, Odysseus’s hubris is an advantage because it tricks individuals into viewing the almighty epic hero as more of an iconic and courageous figure. When Odysseus and his crew, cleverly fight off and get past the horrendous cyclops Polyphemus, Odysseus bravely taunts the beast to make sure he knows never to attack him or his crew again.
