Renewable advocates will say there is plenty of renewable energy to go around for years to come. However, it is not always windy, and the sun is only out during the day. These types of resources will only be good if there are wind and sun, which is out of our control. We can 't make it windy, and we can 't make it sunny. Nuclear power can be regenerated anytime despite wether it is day, night, or windy out. Another plus of Nuclear energy is its footprint on the area of the earth is very small. Wind and solar take up quite a bit of area. Even though the wind turbine itself only takes up a small area, the land around it is pretty much useless except to let farm animals graze. Solar panels can use some useless space on top of buildings, but that doesn’t really amount to enough energy, so solar farms are built.
