Nike has no compassion and consideration for the suffering of their employees. Instead they showed the inhumane and selfish part of themselves by employing children who are supposed to be in schools to act as laborers. In Pakistan, children aged 12 and 13 were employed and were working overtime under terrible conditions. Nike Inc. has made a fortune out of them. The company has therefore failed virtue ethics.
Feminist Ethics:
The key elements of a feminist approach are relationships, responsibility, and avoidance of harm to individuals. In analyzing relationships, Nike has failed the relationship and responsibility criteria in not ensuring good working relationships between the company, factory workers, the community and other stakeholders. Highly priced products, lack of environmental initiatives, health hazards, low wages, child labor, operating in countries with union restrictions, inadequate health and safety measures and cover-up public relations efforts fail feminist ethics. Therefore, their actions can be said to be unethical.

For that reason, they decided to invest in disruptive innovation to lower the impact of materials, to transform waste, to create new business models, and to renew their energy. Nike has recognized that sustainability and business growth are complementary and the best way to achieve their goals is by reducing absolute CO2 emissions while increasing their revenue. They are also using carbon as a leading indicator to assess their sustainability. Another ethical strategy Nike is using is the recent technology called “Color dry” which is used to eliminate the use of water and chemical materials from their products. This would reduce the effect on the environment and prolong the life of their
