The villain always has the most exquisite costumes which help to add to their memorability such as the Joker in The Dark Knight as Christopher Nolan’s Joker is seen as darker and more sinister when compared to that of Tim Burton's (which is also deemed as iconic) what made this recreation memorable was that it was true to the image fabricated in the 1980's classics like The Dark Knight Returns, Death in the Family, and The Killing Joke. A recognizable costume would help people to identify me as that character and thus give me more fame.
However, being a hero has its appeals. For example the hero always gets an action figure and will have their parents buy these toys. The kids will cherish and admire there toys which gives the actor(ess) a zealous feeling. The hero is more profitable as more merchandise is created for them such as lunchboxes, backpacks, and cups. This money, some of it, is given to the actor(ess) as royalties and could lead to enormous wealth and fame.
