Now Macbeth sees that his prophecy has come true he knows what Banquo’s will come true. Banquo’s prophecy was that he was going to have a wealthy name, meaning that one of his sons were going to be king. Macbeth had a greed for being powerful, and the fact that he was going to lose his power to Banquo was not ok with him, so he hired three murders to kill Banquo and his son. “Both of you know that Banquo is your enemy… So is he mine and in such bloody distance that every minute of his being thrusts against my near’st of life.”(3.1.113-115) “It is concluded. If you ask the question, what was the main cause of Macbeth's downfall, that answer is somewhat of difficult question to answer.Based on my analyzations of this play Macbeth's main cause of his downfall is his lack of patients. If only he waited to become king he would have had all of these problems due to killing and lying.
