A Villain is an evil being that walks over the innocent and good for their own personal wants and needs, sometimes they come from good and they transformed. In William Shakespeare's ‘Macbeth’ the main character of the same name seems to fit the part as the protagonist, but is he? Macbeth is a tragic hero persona which is first off a good soul, then descends into villainy therefore not a true and prosperous hero. Heroes and Kings are the proud, looked up to and vigorous beings which have selfless intentions and is rarely convinced to do evil. Proper protagonists also slay those who deserve it as in the villains who’ve mistreated or slain innocent folk and if Macbeth was the protagonist the murders he had carried out wouldn’t plague his mind and spoil his soul. Maybe Scotland had its rightful hero before Macbeth got to him

His hunger had been for a while and his greed had evened. Macbeth grew jealous of Banquo’s sons, which would take over the bloodline of the king. Although it was not by his hand, Macbeth sends murderers to slay the innocent Banquo and his kin. Banquo was once a close and dear friend to Macbeth, but a fruitless crown and barren sceptre were more valuable to Macbeth than the life of a companion. As the death toll rose the innocent blood spilt began to change Macbeth and his wife like a sickness. Macbeth had restless nights and horrifying visions of Banquo and death, knowing that his murders were unjust and cruel. Lady Macbeth also knew of their bloody sins and cursed with imaginary guilt on her palms. Lady Macbeth saw the blood of their kills on her hands and the sight haunted her until it drove her to take her own
