When Lady Macbeth had finished analyzing what Macbeth meant in the letter, she figured that he was going to rethink about going through with the deed and that is why Lady Macbeth gave Macbeth a very encouraging advice that actually led him to kill Duncan. In the play by William Shakespeare, Macbeth is more evil than Lady Macbeth, because Macbeth was the one who committed the murders. When Macbeth hears that he should fear Macduff, he orders for the death of Macduff’s son and wife, and a messenger tries to warn them “I doubt some danger does approach you nearly,” (IV.ii.73) Macbeth demonstrates his evil by killing innocent people as a message to traitors. There was no reason to kill Macduff’s son and wife because neither of them posed as an obstacle for Macbeth’s success. Some may argue that Lady Macbeth is more evil than Macbeth because she convinced him into killing Duncan.
