Probability of success, In order for a war to be just, there must be a rational possibility of success. A nation cannot enter into a war with a hopeless cause. Unfortunately, many think the fight for justice for blacks is a lost cause because of how long this fight has been going on. No matter what people do, no matter how many peaceful protest, or riots, or sit-ins, racism is embedded in our society— From the ability to getting a job interview depending on whether or not your name sounds black or the higher prices you pay for your house or your car due to your skin color—the and I don’t think it will ever really go away. Because racism is rooted so deep into our society, Blacks do what they can to survive and call attention to their struggles— and just trying to express themselves can get them killed. A mother was filmed disciplining her son after she found out that he was participating in the Baltimore riots, the media automatically started applauding the mother for yelling at her son for rioting, but that’s not why the mom was yelling at her son. When the mother was interviewed later she said, “I don’t want my son to be a Freddie Gray.” She wasn’t worried about her son participating in the protest, she was afraid he was going to die for trying to stand up for his people. Destroying property is an unjustifiable act? How about taking a life, shooting a little boy holding a BB gun because you felt he was a threat because he was black, or ganging up on a unarmed man breaking his spine for no reason other than he’s black and you can get away with it.
