Both of these qualities are found in characters in the play The Tragedy of Julius Caesar by Shakespeare. I believe that Mark Antony is the most honorable character in the play. I also believe that Cassius is the most corrupt character in the play. I believe that Mark Antony had several qualities of honor. A few examples of how he was honorable include how he displayed loyalty to Caesar, and how he was good with his words. Antony displayed loyalty by listening to Caesar. If Caesar asked for something to be done, it was indeed done. Antony was very good with words in reason being that he could use words to persuade people to believe one thing instead of believing another. Mark Antony put a show on that got the conspirators to believe that he was on their side even though he was just showing how words can be used for good in the mouth of someone with the right power. Also, I believe that Anthony is good with words is how in his speech he got the people to start wondering, is Brutus honorable? Is he the person we actually want to be in power? Yes, I personally believe that under the correct circumstances and if it is in the best interest of the state in which the leader is ruling, and if they are causing massive damage that would be unstoppable otherwise it is ok to rid of them. However if there is a better way to take their power from them that is the route that should be taken. There are examples throughout history where rulers have been killed in unnecessary circumstances, and some where it was probably for the better. In Julius Caesar’s case though he was not really causing much harm to Rome or the Romans, but there were a group of people who believed he would become a tyrant.
