What is a hero, well let me tell you. A hero is someone that will go out of there way to help someone that is in danger. For example: Johnny is a hero because he had been abused by his parents multiple times and still had the compassion to go into a burning church and rescue a whole bunch of kids the only downside was that Johnny lost his life at the age of 16yrs old. Johnny died in the hospital , when he died he gave the book “Gone With The Wind” to pony so that pony could read it to him as he passed away.

The Greasers, The Greasers are a group of young teens who like to grease their hair back and wear black leather jackets. The greasers live in the east side of oklahoma. The main characters are Ponyboy Curtis and Johnny cade. Pony is important because he is the youngest of the greasers but also cause the most trouble out of the group. One time Pony said “Johnny never walked by himself after that… Johnny now carries a six inch switch in his pocket” hed use it to if he ever got jumped again. This means a lot because if Johnny ever got jumped again he would be ready for it.

Pony talked to Johnny, while he was talking to Johnny a gang of socs rolled up in a blue mustang. When the socs got out of the blue mustang they started beating up pony and Johnny. Bob one of the socs then tried to drown pony then johnny stabbed bob and johnny said “ I killed that boy”. This means that johnny killed bob because bob tried to kill
