Imagine this that your friend comes up to you and says “Do I look good?” What would you do lie or tell the truth of what you think. Everyone lies from kids to adults it doesn’t matter who you are everyone does it everyday. I believe that lying is acceptable when it comes to protecting others and caring for others but lying is up to each person to believe if lying is ok or not. It is my belief that lying can protect lives as well as protect people in dangerous situations. For instance, in the article, “It’s the Truth,” by NBC News, Randy Cohen states that “Not only is lying justified, it is sometimes a moral duty.” Randy Cohen agrees that lying is ok such as lying to protect others and their feelings. Cohen says “ I’m a big fan of lying,” and he shows an example when it is ok to lie. Additionally, “two-thirds of Americans agree... 65 percent of them said it was ok to lie.” The Ap-lsos polls show what American’s thoughts on about lying. …show more content…
