It is important to learn about the Holocaust because students need to be aware of what happened in history. It is possible for history to repeat itself and while some students may get the central idea of certain tragic events from other sources they read or see, they won't be able to know what exactly happened during that time unless they truly put effort into learning about it. As students learn about the Holocaust, they are exposed to the history that we hope will not be repeated in the near future. In the classroom, we learned about how many lives were ended due to this horrifying act and saw images of their lives and how it differs from our lives today. It is our responsibility to study about this event is so that we can possibly prevent
