Is global warming a belief or a real danger?

"Make no mistake: without concerted action, the very future of our planet is in peril," says Christine Lagarde, head of the International Monetary Fund. Our Planet Earth is facing a huge threat by global warming due to intensified use of fossil fuels and an increase rate of harmful gases such as carbon dioxide and nitrous oxide. Many scientists believe that climate change is occurring and they provide some scientific evidence to prove this, yet some people find it hard to believe that global warming actually exists.

Global warming is defined as a gradual change in the overall temperature of the earth 's atmosphere caused by harmful greenhouse gases. Global warming is caused by carbon dioxide and other air pollution that are collecting in the atmosphere like a thickening blanket, trapping the sun 's heat and causing the planet to warm up. Global warming was first claimed by a Swedish scientist named Svante Arrhenius who claimed that fossil fuels combustion will ultimately result in the development of global warming. Finally, the global warming annual mediocre temperature started to upswing during the 1980 's. Environmental NGO 's then started to backer global environment protection to avoid supplementary global warming.
