(Is Frankenstein a Hero?) There heros and villians in this world. They are not as obvious as in the comics. If they were, then life would be much easier, that’s for sure. Unfortunately, life is not cut and dry like that. Everybody is a hero to someone and a villain to someone else. That brings up the question of if Frankenstein is a hero? In all reality, Mary Shelley didn’t make Frankenstein’s monster a hero or villain, instead he was simply a child that had to grow up too fast. In a realistic time spanned, that was about a few months. Yes it is a short time spanned, but he still unaware of language up until then. Just like any child, he learned through listening to Felix and his sister. A child must learn to listen before they speak, even Frankenstein’s monster. The monster, being an abandoned child, had not learned about compassion until he met a blind man. See the man is blind, he was unaware that he was talking to a monster. He was kind enough to let the monster stay with him. He even taught the monster to read and write more professionally. From this kindness, not only did the monster discover what it feels like for someone to be kind to him, but he also realized how the other people had treated him poorly. He ended up go down a troublesome path because of how everybody else act towards him. A child, no matter if there a monster, needs to be treated fairly and kindly. Mary Shelley had created Frankenstein’s monster to be a child, not a hero or villain. Just like in reality, heros and villains are not as black and white as it is in Marvel and DC Nation.
