Most people will realize that fish are a healthy part of a diet. As far as meat goes, a lot of people consider it to be a "cleaner" kind of meat than red meat. While I don 't think that is necessarily the case, I do believe that if someone wants to reduce the amount of animal products they consume, fish a few times a week should be a minimum.

Fish are high in many nutrients that many people are deficient in. This includes high-quality protein, iodine and various vitamins and minerals. Fatty fish like salmon, trout, sardines, tuna and mackerel are higher in fat-based nutrient like omegas and fat soluble vitamins

Wild caught fish are not exposed to the same diseases, mercury, and heavy metal contaminants than their farm raised counterparts. Farm raised fish are crowded and live most of their lives in disease filled tanks. It seems a little bit counter intuitive, but I am DEFINITELY more okay with minimally processed bacon from a grass-fed animal than a farm raised fish. It seems so contrary, but your nutrition is really dependent on the environment an animal was raised in.
