J Cole Speech

What if you had one question to ask someone famous? What question would you ask, and who would you ask? I would use my question wisely asking a well known rapper that goes by the name of J. Cole. “Is fame and money really what it seems?” Based on listening to J. Cole, I feel like this question would be the most nostalgic thing to ask him. I think asking him this question would yield be the best answers opposed to any other question. My first reason for asking J. Cole the question “Is fame and money really what it seems?” is due to listening to his song “Love yourz” from his 2014 album 2014 Forest Hills Drive. In this song he said “On the road to riches listen this is what you 'll find, The good is news n***a you came a long way, …show more content…
Cole said “it 's beauty in the struggle and ugliness in the success”. When I hear this line I think that there maybe be beauty in the hardships. It sounds hard to believe that hardships could be beautiful in anyway shape form or fashion, but think about this. You have had everything handed to you in life you never had one hard moment you didn 't get the learning experiences that come with hardships. “Ugliness in the success”... Just let that sink in. How could success be ugly? I want to know if J. Cole possibly meant. I would like to ask him that question to see if he meant once you get to a very successful point in your life do you see more wickedness in your surroundings opposed to when you were working late nights and early days. J. Cole never mentioned a happy medium throughout this song. Is there a certain point where we will realize I 'm not an unhappy but I 've succeeded enough in my life to reach a median. Asking the question “Is fame and money really what it seems?” to J. Cole would give me more answers than a cheat …show more content…
Cole 's recent performances in Britain he told his audience “... but when I got there I 'm tellin y 'all up close and personal that s**t don 't feel right”. He was referencing fame and fortune as “there”. Hearing these words will make you question things about fame and fortune. What didn 't feel right about it you have everything? Maybe the fame and fortune brought him so much attention from arbitrary people that didn 't genuinely love him. He possibly feels voids of people not being there for him. Next he said “up close and personal”. Is the money really not as fun as icons make it out to be through social media, and their music, and or movies? There could possibly be a constant struggle of trying to find a challenge or trying to have something to work for, but once you have it all what is there to strive for? Lastly, maybe in that statement he was trying convey that in a world that is so involved and invested in something that is amoral why don 't you love something and strive for something that will love you
