Due to euthanasia being explained as a deliberate act of killing, it has several negative impacts on the pa-tients, healthcare workers, and the families of the pa-tients. There are many forms of euthanasia, including vol-untary, involuntary, active, and passive euthanasia. Most people think euthanasia should be an option available to a patient; however, the Christian religion states otherwise. The subject of euthanasia continues to be a contentious issue within today’s society. Physician-assisted suicide is when a physician administrates the lethal injection but does not technically press the button for the drug to kill the patient. The only difference between physician-assisted suicide and euthanasia is that in physician-assisted suicide the doctor assists the patient with the lethal in-jection while euthanasia the doctor actually administers the lethal injection, which leads in death just like physician assisted suicide. It usually happens when the patient goes to the doctor and wants to end his life. One is based on its wrong for one human to intentionally kill another human, which is exactly what euthanasia does. Secondly, the risks and harms of legalizing euthanasia are going to affect patient’s families of the patient, and the society. This weighs euthanasia being legalized. The pa-tients who are morally or religiously opposed are more likely to be against euthanasia, because of the religious beliefs. When the doctor says that the patient’s illness is not curable, the patient immediately thinks they are going to die, but is it the physicians right to say that? Dr.E.
